Midweek Long-19km

Great North Walk/Lane Cove National Park

A bigger group this morning with Virtual, Scott, Brent, Sarah and myself. We ran to Hunters Hill via the GNW, along Lane Cove river, boardwalks and mangroves. Then skipped across Epping road and into the LCNP. Brent and Sarah left us at this stage. Virtual beat the traffic lights and went on ahead, we ushered him on thinking we'd catch up in the park. So we fanged it hitting low 4 minute/km pace through the park down to the weir but still no sign of Brendan. As it turned out he took a left at the bottom of Scribblys and continued on up to the gates, we thought he put on a fantastic burst of speed and was ahead of us. Back through Chatswood golf course and then along the river and up Mowbray Rd back to work. A good run especially with the added speedwork in the middle.

Good run Spud. I have six weeks of downhill reps programmed in for the start of Feb so You'll see that appear on the sixfoot blog soon enough. A definite plan to avoid having any cramps along black range.
