Midweek Long
5:55am- Early start as it's gonna be hot today. After dinner last night and a business lunch during the day yesterday, getting out of bed this morning was not easy. I felt bloated with a mixture of Italian and Indian dishes in the belly. Still I had a long run with Tony from work scheduled, so up and at 'em. Great morning for it, cool to begin with but soon heating up. We ran along the GNW to Hunters Hill along boardwalks over mangroves and plenty of singletrack, magnificent stuff.
From there to East Ryde and into LCNP at Scribbly Gums. Ran to the Ryde rd gates and back down to the weir, it was beautiful in the park this morning. Bumped into Boof as usual and the odd walker/jogger. Crossed Fullers Bridge and returned to work via Lane Cove river (singletrack hugging the river's edge) through Rotary Track and up Mowbray Rd hill.
Glad to get it done, the last 15km were a lot better than the first 10km.
25km-2:11:02 (5:14/km)
