Damn ligament

The rest of the week went like this.
Thursday I went out for a river run at lunctime along the GNW. It was hot and good training for the conditions we are likely to face in 2 weeks time.
I wore a new pair of North Face trailies, trying to break them in a little before GNW.
Friday- No run with the rellies in town from Birmingham, England.
Sat-AM 20km run locally in 4:53min/km pace. Felt average with my peroneal tendon in the ankle playing up. At times it almost ceases the whole ankle joint up!
Sun- 5km hot afternoon run 4:28 pace.

The ankle is giving me the shits, I have iced, stretched, massaged and dropped some ibuprofen but alas these ligament injuries take time to heal. I got under 2 weeks to get it right or at least manageable before GNW...we'll see.

That's a bugger. Still, 2 weeks is enough time to get it right. Maybe a couple of rest days between running days? Good luck!

Being close to the skin - hirudoid cream might help.

That's so annoying. Though our resident witch doctor 2P could be on to something, his potion recommendations have helped me out in the past.

Good luck with it.

Hope the ankle doesn't cause you too much grief at GNW. Take it easy between now and then and hopefully it will be alright on the weekend. See you at Teralba.
