Brick Session

Edit: PM Swim at Lane Cove Pool lunchtime. Got away quite well with only 2 in the lane including myself, by the end there was 5 swimmers in the lane.
Swam 1500mtrs in 30 mins, was taking it relatively easy, so happy with time.
Hot and chockers at the pool.
It always amuses me when people turn up for a swim (on a hot day) and after a couple of fast laps fall in a heap and start breast stroking it in the lapping lanes??

Decided to do a brick today with some mates from work. We mapped out a loop that takes in some nice undulations. Basically from work, down to Blackman Park and back out around the suburb of Lane Cove West. The loop is 3km long. We started off with 10km hammering it and then headed down to the park. Shoes were dropped off earlier at our transiton area. Quickly into the shoes for a 2km run (2 laps of Blackman Park). Legs were burning but felt good after 500mtrs.
Back onto the bike for another 10km followed by another run transition. This time got out again quickly for another 2km run. Warmed down with a 10km ride for a total of 30km bike and 4 km running. A great short sharp hitout, awesome training for triathlon.
Calves have been tight the last week so will try and get out for a swim later.
